Hi, sorry for starting another thread, but I find it very annoying how you take-off at a little too-high of a pitch, and you tail strike, and sparks are flying the whole flight. Is there any way to turn that off or make it stop. Thanks!

Seriously? Have you tried not having a tail strike on takeoff? You're doing something wrong if you are striking the tail....

Sir, I have gotten a lot of "sarcastic" responses lately, and I am just seriously wondering if there is a way to stop it other than the obvious ways. No disrespect to you or anyone, but I want a serious answer. I was a 5 dgrees nose up the take-off role, and it still sparked. I was on rotation for 15 seconds trying to avoid the sparking, but it keeps coming up.

Thank you.

Assuming your calculated Vr is correct and the appropriate T/O flaps are deployed slowly pull back on the yoke to rotate your plane. Perhaps you are pulling back to hard/quickly?

Hey Josh to answer your questions directly no, you cannot disable just that function. Do you have "ignore aircraft damage" or collision checked in the settings?

It wasn't a sarctasic remark. It was a serious question. What aircraft and trim settings are you using? You probably don't set the trim before takeoff.

First off, dean, my appoligies, second, Mike, I am slowly pulling up and holding at about 5-8 degrees nose up utill the wheels lift off the ground, but that sometimes takes a little longer than I expected, and just pull a little more. Matt, all damage, and crash recognition is off. I am flying the Fleet downloaded A330. The sparks only happen with this airplane. Also, to answer Dean's question, I am not using trim, because that has lead me to an increased risk of tailstrike in the past, so I leave my trim in the middle. thanks again guys, but it doesn't look like there is a way out of this.

I don't known if I'm beating a dead horse, but once you hit 4 or 5 degrees nose up does the AC jump up a few more degrees? What I'm getting at is the joystick deadzone may need to be calibrated again. Sometimes my program loses the profiles, especially after I fly DCS A-10

In your aircraft.cfg file (Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/(MODEL)) try setting the "visual_damage =1" to "visual_damage =0" and save the .cfg See if that works

what happens sometimes is it will glitch, and it will be like the wheels go underground, and the fuelsuloge is the gear....that happens for less then one second, but it still makes the tail strike....so annoying....

Bingo.
I had the same issue when I was messing around with it. I seem to remember the fix to be changes in Fuel, CG, or trim. Try e-mailing the A330 CP.

If i remember right you don't even set trim in an airbus.
