Hi all,

Every now and then I see a topic coming up with PC hardware configurations and questions on how hardware will work with FS.

Isn't it an idea to make a sticky topic, updated every two months with a sort of a buyers guide on hardware for simmers? Specify 3 categories like "budget" "average" and "high-end" to sum up some hardware of what we (as simmers) think is the best on the market to work with FS9/FSX.

As I'm quite the hardware enthousiast myself, I could set up a trial version for January 2012 and see if it catches on.

i like the idea. not sure how often it would have to be updated, but i like it.

I really like the idea too! The problem is, there are a lot of different set ups that work all for their own price. It would be hard to have a set three with all the current options.

There is surely enough hardware to make an infinite list of setups. But my idea was more to roughly point out which hardware is suitable (and more importantly, why is it suitable for simmers) for a certain price category, and set up a system with as an example.

So I want to emphasize on differences in specific hardware components (like RAM, CPU/GPU), not on numerous complete systems.
