Ohai dere
Things have been failing a lot recently in my house; our microwave, toaster and washing machine all went in the last two months.
And now another thing has failed, my GTX 285
Basically it crashes my PC whenever something graphics intensive tries to run, leading me to think that my card is failing. It runs windows fine at the moment, but FSX crashes as soon as its loaded.
I'm looking for a card that'll get me a good FPS in FSX with REX, my system specs are included here:
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600| 3.4GHz, 3.8GHz turbo (All four cores, I aint dumb)
RAM: 8GB ASint 1333MHz DDR3
HDD: 5,900RPM WD Caviar Green 2TB + 7,200RPM Maxtor Diamondmax 21 320GB
Motherboard: Foxconn H61MXV LGA 1155
Monitor: 2x 1280x1024x32 @ 75Hz
PSU: 600w
I'm on a limited budget of about £80 to £140.

I have the GTX 580, and get 30 - 60 fps with fsx and rex. But understand the price is still high, my old roommate has the gtx 560 and he gets good FPS on his I5 system.

I have a GTX 460SE and get 40-60 easy with fsdt gex rex utx...key for me is the 6 core...

I'm running 3.4GHz 8 core atm, 3.8GHz turbo, might push it up to 4GHz.
So I'm thinking of getting this (

The only reason I got the 285 was because I thought it'd run FSX quite well, THEN I read internet reviews...

| Your fix for a semi out of date graphics card was to underclock it :S. But if it works and you save the money grats :). Also if it is the 8120 I found the trick to be put the turbo up to 4.2 and leave the stock clock. My temp did not even really change. How is just overclocking?
