Hi everyone, I just got approved for membership. My name is Bryan Shepherd and I have been interested in airline flight since I was a child. I joined the ranks of the FSX pilots in December and have been studying and researching cockpit operations since then and I decided I wanted to take it a step further and decided to join a virtual airline. I'm not a great pilot in practice, but I do know a lot of the operations inside. Any help that I can get here would be outstanding and I look forward to seeing everyone in the skies!

DVA is probably the best place to learn how to really fly an airplane. I personally would suggest checking out the flight academy.

First off welcome to DVA one if not the best va out there with tons of resource. You will fall in love with how things work here and when you take that final step and fly online you will love it. Just make sure you read up on everything learn what sids and stars are and how to file right flightplans. Youtube is a great learning tool for sids and stars if you already dont know how to read charts. Flightaware.com is a great place to find flightplans. I hope you have fun here welcome aboard Bryan.....

And keep your nose here in the water cooler as well. If you have a question, it may have already been answered, or someone else could benefit from you asking . . . or you'll see a post with a question that you didn't even know you had.

There's alot to be learned here, and there are alot of highly experienced and motivated pilots that are always happy to lend a hand, ear or yoke.

Welcome aboard.

If the response to this thread is any indication, I don't think that I will have any trouble finding that out ;-)
