Ok guys, sorry to such a bother about this, I do feel blessed to have such a place to go to have readily available help though...Thank You all

1. Got the video card in yesterday, in the mail I mean, its a Nvidea 550Ti superclocked (?) 1024MB GDDR5/ anywho what are the steps to changing it? for instance I watched a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihVEGWrk5E4 / the question is do I 1. put in the new video card and download the new driver before doing this 2. do this first, operate in safe mode then install the new stuff...etc?

2. Secondly...the power supply is in but due to problems in another post, I don't have the disk drive available for now (which means, I can't play my new QW757) but also means, I can't use the drive for the driver disk and will have to download it off the internet(perhaps save it to my desktop for now and follow ya'lls advice for question 1.) Is that a viable option?

Joel -

1, Download the new drivers and save them so you can get at them but don't install

2. Uninstall old drivers, run a driver cleaner to make sure - reboot

3. PC should restart in VGA 800 x 600 - run cleaner again just to check

4. Turn pc off and perform the necessary surgery!!

5. Turn back on check all ok, you'll be in 800x600 again - install new drivers

6. Restart

That's how I do it anyway!!

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm going to fly KMKE to KATL with the old video card then, the same with the new and post screen shots showing the difference. If power cable comes soon, where I can use my disk drive I'll include the QW757 pics vs. the fleet 757 as well. wink

Yeah, I found that out the hard way..BTW the PSU I bought can be viewed here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1389575 notice in the second pic from the left how there is a black rubber piece on the SATA plug that does not facilitate a good split.

Still have no idea what superclocked means though on the 550Ti/ mines a 1 gig

thing of your graphics cards like the graphic version of a cpu it can overclock kind of like a cpu

superclocked means the "gpu" or the cpu inside of the gpu is basically overclocked a little bit
