Bill - Nvidia 560 Ti's seems to be the way people are going in that price range. Lots of options from various manufacturers.

560Ti or 560 560Ti is a little better but cost a decent amount more too

I suggest
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=7171406&CatId=3669 $255 plus a $15 rebate 560Ti

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=1457177&CatId=3669 way out of price range but def the best smile Gtx 580 $499

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=982626&CatId=3669 $289 GTX 560 Ti 2 gig compared to the 1 gig shown above

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=555358&CatId=3669 $254 Gtx 560 (non ti) $20 rebate 2 gig and overclocked this is what I use

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=7040152&CatId=3669 $350 Gtx 570 $20 rebate 1.2 gig and overclocked good medium

any of these will work amazing for fsx due to it being so reliant on the CPU games like BF3 will work a little harder on the GPU and you will be able to max out all of these at some point

GTX 580 is your best shot but cost a decent amount more the 560TI 2 gig is pry my fav by far

or another really good bet if you have room on the mobo and psu and your mobo lets you sli

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details_ss.asp?EdpNo=1702987&Sku=S15-0568 get two of these and Sli them they are Gtx 560 1 gigs and are $180 a piece but have a $30 rebate which puts them at $150 for one and $180 for another due to only one rebate per household ect
