Hello everyone, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here at DVA! I have been using FS for 11 years and never heard of a VA until about a year ago. I stumbled upon a VA one Google while looking for something to take the place of the Microsoft Servers that used to be up for Multiplayer. I joined a small VA and thought they were the only ones, Ha little did I know. Well I also thought I knew how to Navigate and use ATC until I found DVA! Wow, I was lost as a ball in tall grass. I never heard of a STAR, SID, UNICOM or RNAV and a whole lot more real world ATC.

What brought this thanks on... I just finished an online flight from KMEM to KATL using ERLIN9 RNAV having to use UNICOM the whole flight. I would have never thought I would have been able to fly a STAR 4 weeks ago having to hit speed, altitudes, intersections and VOR's. I could have never have done it without all Y'alls help here at DVA. Y'all are awesome!

I'm the same way. There's so much to learn, and so many people here to help.

BTW, if you get a chance, check out ERLIN5 . . . I loved that star. Altitude and speed restrictions are a little bit different.

Welcome to DVA, Kevin. In the time I've been here I've also learned quite a bit in how to fly airliners. The staff have developed an excellent VA.

I think most everyone who joins DVA without prior rw piloting experience learns a lot in their time here. I know I sure did. The wealth of knowledge here is amazing.
