This message below is showing up in my FSUIPC log approximately every 2 minutes. ACARS is stopping recording my flights and FSUIPC menu option disappears and all my saitek stuff stops working. I checked and simconnect, fsx and framework.net all seem to be the correct version.

can anyone shed a little light on this?

Simconnect is added through SP2 or installation of Acceleration - try putting in the disc and running repair installation and see what happens. Don't dig for the Simconnect.dll and delete it - then you will have bigger issues

I sent this to Pete Dowson of FSUIPC, because the FSUIPC log was the first place i discovered what was goin on. He pulled out all the SimConnect stalls and noticed they seem to be about every 120 seconds or 240 seconds. It dawned on me that my DVA ACARS is set to Automatically Flight Saving every 120sec. I'm going to turn that off and see if that solves it.

I also did what you suggested Andy - we'll see if that works too.

It's worth mentioning that this is a new system, that i just built 3 weeks ago and this is a nagging problem. The specs are below the Simconnect stalls.

and yes - the system actually stutters for 2-3 seconds. I disabled hyperthreading because everything I read said that hyperthreading and FSX don't play nicely.

boy - I just don't know. I'm still having ACARS and Simconnect and PMDG's NGX connection issues galore. I just finished a 4 hour flight and was online for about 60% of the flight, but ACARS says 28min total, I had to exit and restart the flight twice because ACARS stopped recording information. I read on an avsim forum it was Aivlasoft and PMDG together that were causing the problem, but I'm still having the problem without Aivlisofts EFB running. I'm going to fly a Maddog flight tomorrow and see if I have the same problem. Maybe it's just a PMDG NGX issue. Really frustrating.

Has anyone else had this type of issue?

Two things - first, the ACARS client cannot detect whether you are online or not. That's done entirely server-side, by comparing against the ServInfo feed. If the VATSIM data server is down (which it regularly seems to be) I can't record your times. Second, with regards to the pausing issues - can you tell your anti-virus to ignore all files in the My Documents\Flight Simulator X directory and see if that fixes things? I suspect it's an AV issue.

Thanks Luke - that's good info. I'll proceed with that idea and see what happens. and the pausing is definitely with PMDG's NGX. Flew the Maddog MD88 today -not a single issue. Curious.

ok - here's the thing. it's fixed - but maybe by accident. 2 things: one - I loaded PMDG's 747 onto my new system and it automatically ran a fix of C++ redistributable. I don't know if simconnect uses C++, but that may have fixed it. two - I've read on pmdg's forum some people solving connection issues with earlier versions of the NGX by first loading another pmdg plane, then switching over the NGX. Well, I flew the MD-11 from ATL to LAX, then the 747 to Paris, then switched over the the 737 to shoot down to Genoa. I always thought that the load one plane, then switch fix was hogwash, but who knows. I even used Avliasoft's EFB, which Avlisoft's forum claims doesn't work at all with the NGX. So, I'm left with a working simconnect and a few tests to run to see if it's one or both. My educated guess is that C++ has a lot to do with this. Thanks Luke and Andrew for the feedback. I'll keep testing the theories.
