Hello,

Recently, I switched my PC from a wired connection to a wireless connection. Tonight, while connected to VATSIM, I noticed I could hear the communication from other pilots, but they could not hear me. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with using a wireless connection. I haven't used VATSIM in a while, but when I did, it was with a wired connection. I did a mic check with my headphones and was able to record a brief message, so I know the headphones aren't broken. Anyone else have this type of problem before?? Any help would be most appreciated.

Jeremy

I've always used a wireless connection with VATSIM on here on my laptop and have never had issues. Did you restart your system to see if it was just a fluke?

I use wireless to with no problems, except the occasional VATSIM hickup/s.

Been using a wireless connection on VATSIM for almost a decade with no issues, how is your port forwarding set up?

Are you using Squawkbox or FSinn? I've had similar problems with FSInn. If so, check your settings.

@Mathias I checked the push-to-talk settings, and I had it set for scroll lock. But when I press scroll lock, I hear a buzzer sound!?!?

That means it's not set up properly. Did you apply the change?

The buzzer sound may also mean that you are on a text-only frequency or not an active frequency.
