I come in this morning to fly to find that at the gate, my nose is in the ground.
Hmmmmmm, I wonder what's going on.
I look at the panel to see that I'm at 43%.
Pressing F1 takes me back to 20%, but as soon as I touch the throttle, I go back to bottoming at 43%. It's as if my system thinks 43% is a stop. You can even see the throttles stopping about 2 inches from idle on the throttle quad, and F1 takes it all the way down to idle.

I'm using a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with the 3 axis Throttle Quad, Windows7 64 bit with FS9.

I have tried unplugging the yoke. I have re-installed FSUIPC straight from Pete's site, and of course the obvious reboot. I've also tried plying with assignments. I have been using a Saitek Pro ST290 joystick as a tiller since I first installed the yoke, so I tried to use it's throttle . . . same thing. This happens with PMDG and iFly.

I haven't changed anything with FS9 in the last few days.

Any ideas?

What does the Window's game controllers screen say? Is it reporting your throttles in the correct positions?

Does it still do it even when your yoke is unplugged?

Look in FS's settings and verify that EACH joystick (if you have more than one) you have plugged in are not mapped to the throttles somehow.

I have checked the SAITEK control panel, and it shows all movements normally, the advanced properties also shows normal movement.

When I first set up my yoke, when I would go into slew mode, my airplane would be doing wild summersaults. I found out that one of the axis of the throttle quad had an assignment that it shouldn't have. I learned alot about assignments then, so when I was checking out the assignments, I double checked to make sure there was no double tapping.

I did unplug the yoke after trying to assign the throttle to the joystick . . . no joy, same result.

Set throttle axis senstivity to full, and null zone to 0.

You might try going into FSUIPC. On the throttle setting page you can set the reverse, idle, and maximum setting. Some real world aircraft won't allow the throttle below a certain minimum until the weight on wheels switch allows a further reduction.

Thanks, gentlemen.

I checked that, Matt. I know the null zones can cause problems if the axis movement is as short as the throttles are.

I can't go into that, Chuck. I have an unregistered FSUIPC. frown

Anyway . . . I was going through and uninstalling things I don't use such as Eaglesoft CitationX, etc . . . Something I uninstalled had a tight grasp on something FS9 needed, so I couldn't start the sim.

Complete reinstall, my N1 problem is fixed. Kinda disappointed though. . . I would have loved to known what caused that.
