Whenever I start up FSX it loads for a few seconds, and then just closes all down. There is no error message of any kind. It just doesn't show up.
I recently installed the PC versions of FsxControl and SKP-FSX to connect to my iPad. I think it may have affected the files of FSX somehow? I've uninstalled both programs and it still does not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would uninstall any addons you have... all of them.
Then try this tool to "reset" the FSX startup flight... http://www.flight1software.com/files/FSXSafeStartup.exe
If those don't work, reinstall FSX I'm afraid.

Aaron - try renaming your fsx.cfg to fsx.bak or whatever and then see is fsx starts. FSX will rebuild the cfg file by doing this

I tried all of these and ended up reinstalling FSX. It loaded fine, but when I went to start a flight in ACARS it said "FSUIPC is not installed correctly." So I uninstalled ACARS and reinstalled it.
Now FSX is not working. So it has to do with something with the FSUIPC I suspect. Any ideas? What really strikes me as odd is this just showed up yesterday!

Reinstall ACARS and when it asks, install FSUIPC with it.

I tried that again just now, and had the same problem.

I ended up reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling FSX. It works like a charm now.
Thanks for everyone's help.
