I started having a problem with an extremely loud noise in the cockpit of my CoolSky MD88. It was present even with the engines and APU shut down. It was so loud I couldn't hear ATC giving me clearances. Then it spread to all my aircraft. I tried adjusting the settings in FSX's menu without fixing the problem. I also rewrote to sound settings multiple times, to include turning them off, didn't work. Finally in desperation I started comparing the sound to every sound file in the FSX sound directory. The culprit is the fuel truck that AES had installed! I removed it and now I can converse with ATC. I know I had AES installed without this problem for a long time. Something triggered it to a much louder sound level.
