Can anyone tell me if they have successfully mapped keys or joystick controls to change the autopilot heading and altitude on the Wilco CRJ-200? If so, how they accomplished it. Thank you.

Does it come with a keymapper? If it does, a registered FSUIPC will allow you to set any joystick button to any key press.

Not sure if this is what your asking, but I set up keys to the Saitek software profile for the Yoke and Throttle hardware. I then assigned the keys with fsuipc. I can change altitude and heading via joystick buttons on other aircraft, but on the Wilco CRJ-200, it does nothing when I try.

LOL forget it, broke down and bought the CRJ-200 for xplane.

Most payware autopilots have different key combinations to control them. There is a lot more functionality there than in a stock autopilot. Is there a Wilco CRJ menu in the task bar?

No I wish there was. Thank you for trying to help, but I'm over it, Just did tutorial flight on JRollins CRJ-200 and it blows that old aircraft away, so I'm not worried about it anymore. But, if someone comes across this and has an answer, maybe it will help others in the future.

Just an FYI to Others. I figured out how to Bind any and all functions specific to the Wilco CRJ-200. It requires that you have the FSUIPC addon installed.

1. Select the FSUIPC option "Make Mouse Macro"
2. Type a name for your file. (something very easy to remember, because if you want to go back to edit, you have to type in the name manually. I chose WilcoCRJ200 for a file name.)
3. Click OK, and OK once more to exit completely out of FSUIPC
4. Use your mouse to click on a button in the cockpit.
5. In the upper right hand corner you will see some information and instructions. I recommend using the "tab" function to check to make sure you selected the right cockpit button.
6. After verifying you have the right function, name it, for example "AP Speed Hold". (without the quotations)
7. Continue clicking various things in the cockpit and naming them by what they do.
8. Open FSUIPC and select "End Mouse Macro Creation" or whatever it says in the same spot.
9. When you select a keybind in FSUIPC, just scroll to the letter your file name started with and you will see a list of the options/functions you created after your file name.
10. remember to click confirm after each keybind assignment.

Hope this helps, it sure made my life easier while I wait for XPlane10 to chill out.
