So I'm installing FS9 again since the computer I'm on doesn't run FSX too well. During the install I'm getting to 81% then getting an error when the setup is installing the Paris scenery.

The error is "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 encountered a disk error while writing to the file c:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9\scenery\cities\paris.cab. Make sure your hard disk is not full, and that the file is not in use."

Could it be that I still have FSX installed? I don't want to uninstall FSX unless I have to.

Any ideas?

Any ideas? I'd like to get FS9 running. I know it's not my hard disk since I have a 256 ssd that I dedicate to FS and I still have 178 remaining.

Maybe the FS9 CD is scratched (or dirty). Get a non-scratching cloth and clean up the disc and try again.
