First one is way better, just overclock it to the 4ghz and it would be perfect. (if you want so)

The top one by far the graphics card is a step lower but the i7 980 is much better by FAR. I am not sure how they fit a I7 980 into a laptop though, and for the person that said OC to 4Gz DO NOT. Your laptop would just melt, but yes go with the top one for sure.

Awesome, thanks for the help. I was leaning towards going for the Battalion before, so your advice confirms my suspicions.

My only real concern is the graphics card. Going with the 1.5GB NVIDIA over the 2.0GB AMD was a concern for me. So, you don't think that will be a problem?

Also, the lower RAM on the first one is a concern, but I was told that 6GB will be plenty to do what I need it to.
