You can try a few different things.
Check your values in the display settings of FSX (I'm not at the house so I can't look at mine but I'll try to remember what I used)
1- Level of detail radius - MAX
2- Texture resolution - MAX
3- Make sure "land detail textures" is checked
4- Global texture resolution - MAX
5- LIMIT the framerate to a number you like (I use 35 and this helps FSX draw the textures faster believe it or not)
6- After these setting changes are made, close FSX, go the the FSX.cfg and change LOD_RADIUS to 6.5000000. Note that if you go back to the settings this will reset the value back to 4.5000000 meaning you will have to go back to the FSX.cfg to change it again.
Now here's your test...
Load the airplane on the ramp wherever you want, then go to the Top-Down view and see how everything looks. You can try to use the skew function and just go UP vertically to get a better angle if you need to. How does it look? If it looks good, then you're OK for now. If it looks blurry, then try some level mapping in the Proxyuser.ini based on your preferences. Here's mine...
1- max_lod=16
2- min_level=9
3- max_level=16
4- level_mapping=9,10,14,14,15,15,15,16
Again, the trick is making sure it looks good while you are NOT moving. Once you get that set, then try flying around a bit and see what happens. It may just be that you're "outrunning" the textures before they have a chance to regenerate. Jets are known for that.
Another idea is before you start your flight, load the airplane up at the destination once to let Tileproxy cache the tiles. This makes it much faster to build once you arrive there on your actual flight. Enroute may be hard to get cached unless you've flown the route before.
Hope this helps!
