So I'm just basically confused on what some settings actually do and if they're beneficial to FS9/X in any way.

The problem I'm having with FS9 is the blurries and autogen is very low when I have it set to MAX. How can I fix this?

Here's my current settings:
Behavior Flags: None
Gamma Correction: Off
AA Mode: User Defined
AA Setting: 16xS
Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
Negative LOD Bias: Allow
Texture Filtering: High Quality
Trilinear Optimization: Off
Pre-rendered FPS: 4
LOD Radius: -3.0000

Any other settings I should enable or disable?

Edit: I'm running a GTX 570/i5 2500k @ 4.50Ghz

Thanks in advance.

AA Mode : User defined should be override application setting and AA should be unchecked in the sim.

Okay, I read all of those settings. I think I'll have to post up some screenshots later though.
The main problem though is that my Autogen suddenly "pops" into the scene, and not enough is being produced even at high settings in FS9.

I know that Autogen popping is a normal problem in FSX because they removed Alpha fade I believe, but in FS9 I'm wondering what's up?

How can I fix this on a GTX 570? I have my computer as far optimized as I can for FS.

Daniel

I believe that the answer is in your FS9 configuration

I'm curious myself, as I'm trying to find that perfect balance between performance and visual beauty. I've recently gotten teh EVGA 560ti 1gig card (that thing is a monster, size wise).

I totally agree! Should've seen how difficult it was to fit my 570, I had to bend the metal pins to insert the card lol.
I know how to make FS run super smooth, I get 60FPS with whatever I throw at it if you're interested in knowing what I do.

I'm considering writing an FS Tune Up Guide for FS9 users.
I posted an image from after having played with settings for a while.
I didn't tweak the texture bandwidth mult, I left it at 60. I increased the LOD radius to 9.90000 and Extended Terrain Textures to 11.

Yeah, let me know what you've done. I'm still on XP 32 bit but am thinking of jumping to W7 when I upgrade my mobo and processor (currently running E8400 duo OC'd to 3.4). In the meantime, I'd like to see your settings.

Nice I will upload my settings and make a report of everything I do later.
My last computer was an E8500 OC'd to 3.80GHz with 1333MHz RAM and a GTS 250 1GB Video card.

That is too low for FS9 ...a good value is 400
