Yeah, the 737 didn't go full glass till the -600, -700, -800, -900 series. The Classic (-300, -400, -500) had a partial glass cockpit. The -100 and -200 were pure analog.

I'm not so sure, I do tend to like the steam gauges on older jets from time to time and take into account the 737 is a 1960's era design so it has deep roots with old style flying which is neat to see. I like how he mentioned that the A320 handles the same on one engine as it would on two in case one engine failed.

Okay, so a people who hasn't ever flown any of these aircraft in real life except the simulator would like to compare them to each other. I'd like to see a real life pilot who tells us what are the true advantages of each other in real time instead of talking about the cockpit.

Also, I think it's a bit unfair to compare the A320 with the 737CL. You might say it was released in the same decade. Yes, but - if I understood it correctly - this video was designed to students who'd like to choose from those 2 aircraft to train on. Today no airline would train pilots for a 737 classic, but the NGX.

Actually Zsolt, a number of airlines still fly Classics. Southwest comes to mind. They still operate 737-300s. Not many, but they do.

JAT still operates the 300's and they are going strong (plus they were the launch customer of the type in Europe).

First Air and Canadian North are still going strong with their 732's. One of the highlights of my day every time I'm at the airport.

Okay, that statement was rough, but still I think if we're talking about an academy, at least it should be mentioned that the modern 737 has glass cockpit, and what's the difference between it, and the classic version.
