I get this glitch right before I touch down. The computer freezes for a sec and messes up my whole flare and landing. Any fix?

Greg, what's sim are you running, what OS, and what are your computer specs? Also, what do you have your graphics settings at? If you have them set to high or ultra high, that could be causing it.

fsx, intel core i5,3.2 ghz, 6gb, 64bit OS.
i have my settings set kind of high because i want it realistic, but want to keep it smooth. any suggestions on the best settings for these specs?

Which CPU? If its unlocked you can overclock which would help. What kind of GPU? Not as important as far as FSX is concerned, but still important. As far as the settings in the sim just play with them and choose what you can and can't do without, and try to find a good balance between quality and performance.
