has anyone tried to set the saitek multi panel flaps up/down toggle lever to function as a gear up/down lever through fsuipc or fsx?

That should be possible through the FS assignment menu by itself.

Well for starters in order to use fsuipc for this you must have the paid version. Just make the appropriate assignment using the control menu.I recently purchased the Saitek Professional Cessna flight yoke and I have made assignments to abot everything you can think of. I can even answer ATC with the push of two buttons and a slide switch on the yoke. I can raise and lower the gear set flaps either in steps or set to full down or no flaps with a push of a button cool

yea - fsx assignments doesn't work and a paid version of fsuipc doesn't work either. The flaps lever on the multipanel isn't recognized as a button/axis/switch in the assingment of either. The lever works natively as a flaps controller. I even tried installing the dreaded SST software to try that angle. I wonder if a config file for the multi panel exists that controls it's switches and where that might be?

I doubt if that is going to work a config file is not going to do you any good without a gauge that works.
FSPANEL STUDIO is a payware program that allows you to design panels and gauges and it works with both FSX and FS9.
And the best part of this program is you do not have to be a rocket scientist to use it. I have used it to add gauges in panels but so far I have not tried to edit or design a gauge with it.
