What exactly is overclocking? What does it do to your computer? Does it help with Flight Simulator? Any info would be great!

Your processor is ran at a certain Hz. Overclocking involves when you increase that default Hz above the default level. The downside is the amount the processor puts out, to much can melt the processor and hurt the motherboard. In Desktops the heat can disparate by a heat sink, either by a fan or a water cooler. As for a laptop due to the small amount of space in them overclocking is not a good idea. You can increase it some but won't see much difference at a low level.

If you don't know what overclocking is, you shouldn't be doing it. You could really mess things up.

HOWEVER, if you know someone that can overclock and knows how to do it well, overclocking can really really really help FS. I would never overclock any laptop or PC with stock cooling, though.
