Graham - what cpu is in that machine i3/i5/i7? With the i7 you will probably get decent performance (medium settings) since you've opted for the discrete graphics card. Anything lower than the i7 mobile chip and the performance tails off significantly.FS9 should run no problem though.

CPU Benchmark scores - this will give you an idea as to how powerful the cpu is in comparison to some of the desktop cpus available:
