Hi Everyone,

I was a on a trip over the weekend returning today so I decided to get some FSX time in. When I booted my PC, I was prompted to download and install new drivers for my MSI Twin Frozr 6970 1 GB series ATI video card. Now when I run FSX in DX9 mode I get the black screen of death; DX10 mode no problems. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered and found a solution for this problem? I'm on a Win7 64 bit quad core system too.

So far I've deleted the FSX shaders rebuilding them hoping FSX in DX9 would run (http://fsxtimes.wordpress.com/2011/07/11/clean-up-shader-cache/)...no luck. Any ideas?

Okay, i figured out the problem. I have to turn off Anti-Aliasing for DX9 mode to work.
