Hi everyone
My problem is this, I have FSX installed along with Acceleration. But for some strange reason Acceleration didn't install SP1 and SP2. And when I go to Uninstall FSX W/Acceleration I get this message: "This action only valid for products that are currently installed". So I try to trouble shoot this and put in the Acceleration disk to repair it won't even let me do that. Also to make it worse I fire up the FSX, load a flight plan, and then it loads to 100% and then exits. So basically my FSX is completly useless. When I call the "great" folks at Microsoft they tell me to go to support.microsoft.com to get the answer to my problem and that helped absolutly nothing. So any advice to this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot everyone!

Isn't Acceleration considered "SP2" ?? ....I thought SP1 was something you needed to install first, on your own, and THEN install Acceleration. Sorry....having a brain fart here and can't quite remember.

You just install Acceleration. No need for SP1.
Is UAC off?

When I go to to Uninstall a program and click on Microsoft Flight Simulator X:Acceleration, I get this message: "This action only valid for products that are currently installed".
And what is UAC? Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this subject.

Not to add more - but have you tried a simple system restore to before you installed Acceleration?
Yes you need to install SP1 before installing Acceleration. Acceleration has the SP2 within it.

I installed Acceleration without SP1 and had no issues.

With all the MS updates and the push to go to the Dot Net systems everyone that reinstalls FSX needs to run Sp1. If it is not run then SimConnect will not get installed. If you have any payware add on's, that depend on SimConnect, they will start giving you problems.
