My flight simulator loves to crash. And for no reason with no error message. Basically what happens is FS Freezes, then if I click the simulator it says not responding and I get the little loading circle. the circle wont go away if it is over FS. To get flying again I have to force close the sim and restart FSX. Any ideas?

What are your sliders at? If they're anything but low, FSX can't handle it, especially with that CPU.

I do not believe it is the sliders settings because I just did a flight with all sliders on the lowest possible settings and the issue was there just as much as ever. almost couldn't stand flying with no buildings, trees and blurry textures. I forgot how flat airports are with no buildings.

Are you running as admin? Install anything new recently? Running Squawkbox?

I am running as admin, just started using squwakbox, but this problem has been going on ever sense I got the computer about 3 months ago. However, it does seem to worsen when I fly online with squwakbox as the client. I have not tried to use FsInn but seeing as this problem persisted before I started flying online, I don't think squwakbox is the issue.

D'oh! Just realized you may have a common issue...when FSX crashes, is it after you open a menu? This fix is needed to make FSX stable on Windows 7 - http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?236410-uiautomationcore-dll-version-6-0-5840-16386
Switch to FSInn too. Squawkbox is notorious for making FSX unstable.

Putting an older uiautomation dll in your fsx folder should fix the issue. I was having the same problem and since I replaced the uiautomation dll, it hasn't crashed once in flight. It does crash every time I exit the sim, but who cares since I'm in the process of quitting anyways.

if you are using squawkbox, make sure you are running it externally, not from within FSX. guaranteed to crash

Yes it does, thanks for the link. I'll see of it works. I know FsInn is better, I just didn't want to deal with its complexity compared to squwakbox while learning to fly online. I will switch th FsInn now
