Just started fsx with acceleration and was getting 100-200 in start up flight on fairly high settings, money and time well spent so far, I still need some help with doing a slight overclock, and my pc temps seem to be fairly cool, don't know the actual temps but I'm glad I did it.

If you're getting those kinds of frames, not sure I would worry about overclocking.

I just had a fresh install and im sure they'll go down a bit later, can't I do an overclock on the mobo to 3.7ghz or something?

Alex, do yourself (and your brand new PC) a favour and listen to wisdom : do not overclock at no cost !!
you better off try and tweak your FSX prior installation of add-ons etc, and you may find lots of VERY professional
means of tweaks to guide you. It will pay back later......and BTW - who needs 100-200 FPS? your human eyes
can tolerate 25-30 FMS the most......good luck.

Ok, so I downloaded CPU-Z and it turns out that when idled I'm at 1.65Ghz and when in fsx or doing something it goes to 4.3Ghz. Guess no need to overclock it then  I'm using an i5 2500k and p8z77v lk from asus. Money very well spent here, except for CS stuff, I'm getting only 20fps in it, but I guess beggers can't be choosers.
