I just built my new system i7-2600k, h100 cpu cooler, and gtx 560 2 gigs in sli. I went for the i7 just for fsx, and currently have it overclocked to 4.3Gz. I am looking for suggestions on the clock speed to receive the best fsx play able system i can get right now. What do you guys suggest/use. I know every chip is different, but if you are currently using a oc i7 2600k please tell me your clock speed and v core so i have a idea.

I have my i7-2600k o/c'ed to 4.3 GHz as well and it seems to be a good, stable number. I've not once had a crash or experienced any instability. Just keep an eye on your temps, mine can peak as high as 68°C with FSX running (with Coolermaster air cooling).

I7 2600K 4.7ghz 1.35 Vcc, 37C FSX operation. Corsair H80 and Coolermaster HAF 944 case. Never had a crash in 6 mo of operation. Run pretty much maxed settings with all kinds of addon scenery and aircraft. Kosta's tweaks only.

I'm currently at 4.5GHz (100MHz x 45.0) with a VCC of 1.33V. My temps during FSX are in the 60-65C range with an older coolermaster fan on board. I also have several case fans to imkprove circulation inside the case. I'm in the same boat with the Randy in that I run maxed out on everything and get around 30-35 fps in high graphics areas such as flying the NGX in FSDT JFK. The majority of my OS (Windows 7) and FSX cfg tweaks come from NickN (scroll down a little bit to the long post by NickN in the thread linked below).
