i did a major upgrade i have a amd 8120 8 core and a nvidia 560ti including 3 solid state drives and 16gb of memory also a am3 asus 990 fx motherboard what puzzles me is why the constant lag and frequent crashes i am using windows 7 64 bit. Any sugestions as to what maybe happening please thanks .... banghead

Hey Jose, how many programs do you have loaded into memory? Also, some virus programs slow down the system while running. I use a program call "Process killer" and have it set to kill everything I do not need before starting FSX and it has been working pretty good.

Have you performed all the FSX.cfg and the many other changes and additions that are required for smoother operation? No matter what, it will not run smooth right out of the box wthout tweaking some. By the way, the 8 core CPU is not optimum for FSX performance. Good for word processing though. smile

You also need to perform the uiautomationcore.dll fix.

welli have not used that process killer and i use no anti virus i will set up fsx today i did a clean install

well i did what you guys recomended and i tweaked the video card a little omg what a differance also did a firmware update to the ssd and performance increased dramaticlly with no shutters now i will try a acutal flight to see. thanks guys for your advice in helpine me resolve my issue....
