I was looking to fly a KLM route and thought of flying to Berlin and back. But I realised that the airport set to fly into was EDDB Brandenburg Airport which doesn't open till 2013 rather than the still operational EDDT Tegel.
Is that a mistake or something done on purpose (wouldn't know why)?

I think you may be on to something with the name, because the code looks like it refers to Berlin Schönefeld. At least until Brandenburg opens in 2013...

"From the opening in 2013 onwards, the Berlin Brandenburg Airport will use the letters BER, the current Metropolitan Area Code for the two Berlin airports, as its IATA code. It will also use the letters EDDB, the current code for Berlin Schönefeld Airport, as its ICAO code."

I suggest putting in a held desk ticket to let them know.

Just realised something else with KLM and its that there is only the 738 schedules and no 737 and 739.

Flight to EDDT are with the Fokker or 738 typically. I work at EDDT as a Ramp Agent. BER won't be opening until at least the end of 2013... So can we please get EDDT back on the list?
