Hey!
I have a question - is there any limitations in how many different additional ratings one can have?
For example - I'm a 767 captain, and intend to reach ratings on the 737, 757 and 777. If I get all these, am I able to start an "Airbus" rating?
Thanks!

We don't group the different ratings by manufacture but by the size of the aircraft. To answer your question, you may earn as many or as little ratings as you wish.

There are some people here who are rated in everything we fly. And some people who are rated in only their initial program. Its entirely up to you how many or few ratings you get.

it seems as though you only have to take checkrides for stages above you, and maybe below you not too sure. If you want additional ratings in aircraft in your same stage, all you need to do is take an exam. For instance, if you just passed the 767 checkride, and your a 767 F/O, but you want to fly 757s aswell, you just need to take an exam for that 757, no need to move into that program. What michael said is what it is, you can pretty much have as many ratings as you want. Good Luck.

You need to take a CR for any new rating.

Chris, that was the way it worked years ago. That if the aircraft was in the same stage, all you needed to do was pass the exam. But that was changed years ago. Now you have to take and pass a CR for all new ratings.
