A question for people who have dual AMD cards.

I have 2 HD6970s, 2GB each. Will it benefit fsx performance-wise if I had crossfire off or on?

I'm not a person with dual AMD cards, but I can say that FSX doesnt rely too much on Graphics performance, its more about the CPU clock speed than anything else

I know that, I was wondering if by any chance crossfire might cripple performance.

Because at the same time I'm messing with Xtreme FSX PC and changing the buffer size. I'm getting different results but it seems to load textures faster with crossfire.

I built a machine a few years back that was cross-fire found out that it dod nothing for my frame rates when it came to FSX. Flight Sim is a CPU hog. That being said a good strong graphics car is still needed. But the true power to FSX is the GPU and memory. Third on the list to improve performance is a decent fast hard drive, you dont need a SSD but a good old fashion platter drive but one that has a 32mb cache and spins as fast as the N2 on a turbine engine 7200 rpm drive.
