I stopped using REX for weather. I still use it for textures but I didn't think overdrive for FSX was out yet.

I started using AS2012 for weather. It is so much faster and just seems so much better on the weather side. I'm sure the REX guys will fix all the problems but they are just being way too slow for me.

I bought Rex Essentials this past weekend. Due to the known issues, I haven't been able to use it as the weather engine yet. I have used it for the textures. According to the average FPS metric that Acars captures, my frame rates have increased by about 6-8 frames per second with the Rex textures instead of the ActiveSky textures.
