When I downloaded the McDonnell Douglas DC10 for my simulator, FSX, it said that the installer didn't support FSX, so I had to press the FS9 radio button to try to install (my pc had mistakenly detected FSX and FS9 on my system, but I only have FSX) the airplane. But when I looked at the aircraft menu, I found only a DC10 I had installed previously. Not a Delta Virtual Airlines DC10. Also any other airplanes that the installers are not compatible with FSX, I would like to have fixed. I want to try and download all the fleet, not just my type ratings. Could DVA please fix this?

Regards,
Kyle

If you want to write freeware FSX panels for all these aircraft, let me know when they are done and we can change things. This isn't something we can "fix" by ourselves.

Cheers!

It's not that, it just won't install. Like, when I went into the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\ folder, I saw other DVA aircraft I had installed, but not the DC10, and it had "detected" FS2004 in the same directory as FSX. But then, when I went to look for it, there was no DVA_<xxxxx> folder there indicating the DC10 had been installed.

Oops. I didn't see what you meant. I thought you meant add them to the folder. Um, I don't have any programming experience with these things. Sorry about that.

That's because FS9 doesn't have a SimObjects\Airplanes folder. If you look under Aircraft you will see it. Why would the installer write to an FSX-only directory if it's installing for FS9?

Cheers!
