I am using the default FS9 weather and when I set the clouds/visibility to like 1/2 mile vis up to 3,000, I will takeoff and fly to 3,000. But when I reach 3,000 ft, All that happens is the fog disappears and I can see the ground... Like the fog was never there.
Anyone know of a way to make breaking out of the clouds more realistic?

I know REX is an option but I believe it would still be weird.

I think it's a limitation of FS9 but I could be mistaken. Anyway, here is a link that explains it a bit more. Having said all of that; that post was 2009 so someone may have fixed the problem, though from what I remember from my fs9 days it was something I learned to live with.

I'll do a bit more digging.

The only option I can see is to set a very low (ground level?) cloud layer using advanced weather options but if you are using real world weather I doubt this is possible. Try checking out the Active Sky (I know you use Rex) and FSUIPC support forums you may find some help in there.
