Is it the -Q400? or other models?
Also, in the Pilot center, it says that I am rated in the DHC-8. Does that mean I can fly the Q400, or just the one in the Fleet installer?

The DVA DHC-8 is the Q100. You should be able to fly the Q400 seeing how it is just another Series of the DHC-8. Hope that helps.

Alaska flies some Q400s as well, so you should be able to fly both.

I've flown both and it's fine.
Majestic's Q400 shouldn't be too far away from release either. That thing looks incredible.

The fleet installer Dash 8 flies nicely. I find the trim a bit over responsive so I adjusted the setting down in the aircraft.cfg file. At least I can get it to slow down unlike its Brazilian sister, the EMB120!

Funny we can fly the DHC8-100 and the 400 as the same aircraft (which you cant in the real world) yet you can't fly the 757 on the 767 rating which you can in the real world....

Andrew, the EMB is a menace to get under 250. I think it likes breaking FAA rules!

The EMB-120 is the sports car of the fleet. It wasn't meant to be driven under 250.

you just have to lean out the mix and bring back the prop lever to about halfway... then she'll slow down.

Shane, this is also the only way you can taxi the EMB-120 under 60 kts. It wants to fly at idle when you have the fuel condition levers full up and the prop levers all the way up. I usually pull the fuel condition levers back to cover "Low Idle" on the pedestal and bring the props all the way back to start my descent and keep them that way all the way to the gate. Slippery plane wants to go fast.
