I just purchased GSX for FSX and the installer said i need to have FSX sp2 or acceleration installed. I downloaded the FSX sp2 and it said that it was present. I looked on the internet and decided to uninstall it and then reinstall it, unfortunately it took the fsx.exe file with it and i am not sure what else. Now my simulator is flatlined,

I tried to do a system restore and it kept the fsx.exe, but not it says every time I start up that a fatal error occurred with the ui.dlll module. I have recently lost my second disc to FSx so a complete re-install is not likely. I really don't have many options. Any help is appreciated

Sounds like your going to have in invest in a new copy of FSX. New Egg has them as cheap as 18 bucks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116046

Guys, Thank-you for all the advice, but by a miracle, system restore, and a repair by the fs sp2 I was able to get everything working again now with GSX, all is well, Thank you for the help
