I was 5minutes into my flight from LAS-JFK, when my screen went black, and a loud buzzing sound from my speakers. Then computer shuts down, and restarts. It goes to system repair, and I had it run all the checks it suggested. When the system rebooted? This is what popped up.

Whats the problem? ...is your computer working now? ...if so then forget about it. An occasional blue screen is nothing to be concerned about. If it happens a lot then you have a problem.

Did you recently run Windows update, update drivers, or make any hardware changes?

Check and see if any drivers were updated. Hardware issueschanges have causedto most of my bluehouse screens. Other than that you may want to check in a computer forum.

I just had a black screen on the way from Perth to Brisbane. Good on the guys that make the ACARS, I recovered my flight but had to do some dippsy doodling, and it was in a PMDG MD-11. You have no excuse.

Phillip - BC116 is a graphics driver issue. If it does not resurface again it may well be a case of why fix what isn't broke! But if it does I would get the latest drivers for your card, run a driver sweeper and then install fresh drivers.

One is nothing to worry about with Windows computers, unfortunately. If it persists let's look at more details and see what we can do.

The memory test was OK. The driver's that I currently have are the most up to date. I did notice while I was poking around on the Nvidia website? It says that my graphics card supports DirectX10. According to my computer, it's running DirectX11 at this time. Could this have any affect here?

Phillip, I had a similar issue awhile back - seems my video cards were caked with dust and overheating. Might be a good time to blow the PC dust-bunnies out

Phillip, how is it working now? Directx11 shouldn't make a difference as it's backward compatible. Tracy has a good point, overheating could be an issue.
