Hello! I am new to this type of flying. I am also not an expert at the guts of FSX. So, I need your help. I downloaded ACARS and read in the manual how to add the gauges to the existing panel but I am stuck on gauge 36. I went to the CRJ.CAB file and it comes up with alot more information than I expected. My question is what in that file do I need to move to the panel? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you. My apologies if this has already been answered as I could not find it.

You don't need the gauge installed in the panel to use ACARS. All it does is show which phase of the flight you are in (taxi, takeoff, etc.). Just in case that is what you were thinking.

Thanks that solves alot of issues. New Problem. How can a start my flight with ACARS without having to exit FSX? Once I exit it seems that my computer will not let me back into FSX to resume the flight. Again sorry for the issues just want to get up and running. Thanks again!

You launch ACARS and start your flight in ACARS after you've launched FSX and are sitting in the cockpit of your aircraft. So basically:

1) Launch FSX
2) Select your aircraft and optionally load a flight plan
3) Start flight in FSX so you go to your cockpit of your aircraft
4) Once in your cockpit, launch ACARS using the START or Windows button in your Windows desktop operating system. This is where running FSX in Windowed mode (as opposed to full screen) can aid.
5) Log into ACARS using your assigned DVA ID and password
6) Configure ACARS as required with your flight information.
7) With your aircraft parking brake set, Start Flight in ACARS
8) You may now taxi, take off, land, and taxi to the gate.
9) Once you've reached your destination gate with the parking brake set, End Flight in ACARS. You'll now be prompted to file the PIREP where you'll earn credit for the leg once approved by staff.
