As the thread title says, I was flying KPDX - PANC (Portland - Anchorage)(My longest flight in FSX yet) and was about 300 miles out when FSX crashed. I later loaded the flight, repositioned my A/C about where I was using slew, and then finished the flight. My question is can I file a PIREP on this or do I need to fly the whole thing again?

Thanks!

You can file a manual PIREP ...it just won't count towards promotion.

Have you tried the ACARS Restore feature?

Yes, flying with our ACARS will solve most recovery problems. It is one of the finer assets we have here.

I attempted to use the ACARS one time, but my FSX didn't seem to want to play nice with it. But then again, my FSX didn't seem to want to play nice with anything. I have since installed Prepar3D as reports I have seen on it indicate that it might be more stable than FSX, at least on modern hardware. So far the results seem promising (at least it hasn't crashed yet which is a definite improvement over FSX). I've gotten all of my add-ons to work in P3D so far, including my CaptainSim L-100-30 and my Flight 1 ATR72-500 (yes, I am a fan of the turboprops, I admit it). I see that the ACARS is compatible with P3D so I shall give it a try on my next flight.
