Just finished DVH 260 Leg 3 (KEWR - KPWM) in a L-100, duration 1.5 hours, and when filing the report it said the flight was outside the schedule guidelines of 23.9 hours?!? Currently the route is flown by Continental w/ ERJ-135 and ERJ-145 and they can do it under an hour (though their cruise is 120 ktas greater than the L-100). While it's true that a C-130's record for the longest non-stop flight is around 36 hours (if memory serves and it hasn't been broken yet) there were 7 mid-air refuelings during that flight

While I understand this is probably a bug (I hope :)) why would our schedule even accept as valid a 23.9 hour flight leg?

I've seen that error with event related legs but I don't know how or why it's generated. At any rate, those pireps are still approved in my experience.

I can't help much with the DVA issue, but it's been my understanding that the B2 Bomber has done longer flights. I have absolutely no way to back that up, but it's just something I heard from the type of "ultra long range" training their crews go through.

There have definitely been longer flights than 36 hours by other aircraft, I was just referring to the longest flight by a C-130 type aircraft.

I have heard from multiple sources that E-4/VC-25 can stay in the air for up to 48hrs, reason is food/water and engine oil, not fuel.

2 months solid is a good record.
