I was messing with my FSX.CFG file and then when I tried to open FSX I got the following:
ERROR ID: 25 (null)
I tried removing the .cfg file but it didn't change.
ANY ideas.......I really do not want to re-install FSX......PLEASE HELP!

Delete the FSX.CFG file and it will write a new one when you start it again

the text one is just a backup so to speak of the .cfg
delete the FSX.CFG

Joel was right, delete the fsx.cfg and start again and it will work. You have to be patient though, there are some other steps...

Does anyone know by chance, does the FSX.cfg text file change with every change of the FSX.cfg?
Wouldnt the text file be a viable back up of the fsx.cfg file?

Try making a new shortcut to the FSX.exe file and see if that solves it. Have read some success with that. The original shortcut has somehow corrupted possibly.
