Focus on the highest clock processor you can afford. I would go for a Core i7. Get at least 8, if not 16GB of Ram. You can worry about the graphics card after that. Go with the best you can afford. There are a bunch of threads on this forum talking about builds; check them out too.

Above recommendations are great if you've got the dough. I recently, on a very limited budget upgraded to a desktop from my laptop.
I'm getting 30+fps with almost everything turned on full.
Core 2 Duo 1.86Ghz
2GB RAM
80GB Hard drive
Radeon 6670 (pci express)
Its by no means a system worth bragging about but only set me back $200. HP Refurbished DC7700 with a brand new video card and I'm good to go. I installed FSX but the frames are below 20 on average with no other traffic. Still unplayable without a major upgrade to my system ($500 or more).
As cool as FSX is, I'm settling for FS2004 with all the bells and whistles turned on.

The first system has a much better CPU, and it is a "K" series so you can OC it. I would go a better video card if possible, here is a high end one, but expensive. Or even a step down from this...

And memory is pretty cheap, you can get 1800 or 2166 for almost the same price as the 1866.

if you have the time to build it yourself instead of buying a manufactured one you will probably end up with a better computer, which fits your specific needs, for less money

I would strongly recommend building it yourself, it is really simple and will save you money while giving you a overall better system. If you would like to build it yourself let me know your budget and I will get a parts list together for you. If you are unable to build it yourself, I would go with the cyberpower one, It should be ok as is but I would up the GPU to at least a 660Ti if you plan on gaming other than FS, but for FS only the 650 or 660 should be fine.

Build it yourself, you'll be able to get a much better system for the same amount of money!
