Hey guys got a question. I just put together a new rig with these specs. MSI 750GM-E51FX motherboard. AMD FX-8-core processor black edition FX 8350 4.0 GHz, 16 MB ddr3 ram. So here is the problem I was looking in the BIOS and noticed an option for Load Optimized Defaults. Thought it might help FSX run a little smoother so I selected it, saved and exit and now the computer won't reboot. It shows the motherboard screen and then it goes black with a flashing cursor at the top left. I can still get to the BIOS and I've selected Load Fail Safe Defaults with no luck it still will not boot. Is there something I'm missing. I am a BIOS rookie. If you guys help me out I promise I'll never go to the BIOS again. LOL.

It sounds like you may have disabled your boot device (internal RAID, HDD or SSD). If it's a RAID configuration with multiple drives, worse things could have possibly happened to foul up the configuration. Sorry I can't help if I don't it in front of me.

Go to craigslist. There's 75 guys looking for PC work. Half will take a case of beer as payment or whatever spare computer parts you having laying around.

Hi Adam - Have you tried a bios reset. A lot of mobos have a button to do this these days. Check the manual on how to do this. Let us know how it goes.

Yea, thumb through the manual that came with the motherboard for 'Clear CMOS' and see if that will help. The only reason I could think of that it wouldn't would be if you were running a RAID set up.
