For a FS computer I would go with an Intel based system due to their superior single threaded performance. You will also not need nearly that high of a PSU, 550-650 would be just fine and save you a good bit of money. If you can tell me your budget and other uses for the system I can help you get a more optimized parts list together.

Robbie,
I was actually just playing around the great discounts that Newegg offering. I already have an impressive machine where I can run close to 4.6 GHZ on an Intel i7 2600K with 8 GB and using ATI Readon HD 6850 x 2 2GB (I think).
I`ll upgrade in the future and I hope to have your help. I would money is not the problem, but I do bargain a lot on prices.
My only mistaken was to purchase ATI GPU and not on NVIDIAs one.
But it looks kind of impressive with these parts I attached.
Why is AMD processors I so bad and very cheap though?!

Multiple GPUs have also been shown to degrade performance in FSX in some cases, so I tend to stick with a strong single card. AMD CPUs aren't terrible for budget gaming builds where CPU performance isn't the top priority but for FS builds I would choose a 3570k (or a 4570k in a few months) every time. Also, the NVidia 700 series is rumored to be released in a matter of weeks, and the 780 looks like it will perform very similarly to a Titan which should be interesting to see.

I'm pulling the trigger Thursday I think. Looking at an Intel 3rd generation i7 3770K, 16GB RAM, and a single NVIDIA GTX 660. Boot from a pair of SSDs in a RAID0 and FSX is getting installed on large capacity cheap & deep storage so I can start accumulating megascenery states.

Nice Jason, 16GB of RAM is too much. I have 8GB of RAM and doesn`t get close to 5GB. But nice set though.

Build it yourself. I would be more than happy to give you some help with it.
