I recently did a Windows update, 7 64 bit by the way, and ever since, FSX starts up but crashes due to an error in the nvdxgiwrap.dll. It's only FSX, FS9 is just fine. Tried updating the driver but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

As I recall, it fixes a number of issues. It's been mentioned dozens of times in the cooler in the last 2 years and if you Google uiautomationcore.dll fsx you'll pull up countless conversations. If you need a download link for the file, let me know.

I'm willing to try it, but the uiautimationcore.dll has to do with user interface so I'm not sure how much it would help when the dll causing my crashes is an NVIDIA one.

In the device manager, it says 8.17.12.6743 and in the NVIDIA control panel it says 267.43.

I've updated my driver, and it works now and my performance has increased tenfold. Thanks for the help!
