	Good evening pilots, After upgrading my computer to windows 7 from XP, I thought it would be smooth sailing getting everything back onto my computer. Boy was I wrong. I am attempting, and have been for the past 3 days, to activate FSX. The product activation key is here, I put it in, and then it gives me the following error: License authorization was unsuccessful. WHY!?!?! I tried Microsoft support, and they claim they don't provide support for this game anymore...sure. There is a very helpful person from PMDG support that is trying his best to help me. "Side note: I did not contact PMDG about this issue, I had another issue about the NGX that I need resolved, and he asked if there was anything else he could help me with, so I told him about this issue.) So I am at a dead-end and cannot fly no matter how much I want to or try. Honestly, the replies I get here are my last hope. I have tried a Google search, I am running it as admin, I am running it in compatibility mode, and everything...no luck. Please assist to the best of your ability. any answers might be the charm. 	Did you go over the activation limit? If you did at this point your only options would be to buy another copy or get a crack for it. Other problems could be other programs blocking access for it to go online and activate (firewall, antivirus, etc).

	If you go over limit of installations FSX will say that. Error mentioned above likely caused by network problems. You may try to install network sniffer to figure out what's going on. I would personally start with checklist from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969886 However in worst case scenario your license key was compromised and then you need to call MS.

	Just call the activation number .... it's automated and easy. I've reinstalled and reactivated FSX more times than I can count. Same goes for Windows by the way.

	yes...as stated at the top, "I tried Microsoft support, and they claim they don't provide support for this game anymore..." I also tried to call and the guy asked for the activation key, I started to give him the product key, he said it wasn't the right one, and hung up on me.
