I just downloaded the lastest version of ACARS and now I cant get it to see FSX. When I try to load fuel using the ACARS fuel loader I get the follow error message in chat box: Maybe running on WideClient, but FS not running on server, or wrong FSUIPC. I tried foregoing the ACARS fuel loader and just start a flight, but when I do that I get another error message: Microsoft Flight simulator is not ready to fly. Please start Microsoft flight simulator and load your aircraft.

I tried updating my FSUIPC, but when I installed the latest version, the installer said my FSUIPC was up to date. I'm at a loss of what to do.

I'm not particularly savvy with the tweaks and code side of FSX, so please respond to this thread with thorough and easy to understand instructions. Thanks!

Are you running ACARS and FSX as admin?

Even when both are in admin, acars doesnt recognize fsx.

If you haven't made any other changes, I would revert back to the working ACARS version and make a help desk issue.

A few minutes ago I tried going back to ACARS2. It installed fine, but it wont authenticate now. So I'm stuck. confused

That was the reason for the authentication issue, but now that I'm logged in as DVA8594 I still cannot load fuel or start a flight with ACARS 2 or 3.

I get the error that the FSUIPC was installed incorrectly. I dont understand how that is. I read through the install instructions and the FSUIPC was installed in the Modules folder.

What does your FSUIPC.LOG file say? It should be in the FSX Modules directory.

Is the flight actually started in FSX? If you aren't actually in the cockpit or have a menu open ACARS won't let you start a flight.

I'm in the cockpit sitting on the ramp. When I click start flight or try to access the acars fuel loader it throws an error at me saying that my fsuipc isnt installed correctly.

What is the specific error message? It's a guess, but try downloading the latest version of FSUIPC from Peter's site and see what that gives you.

I downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC and nothing is changing. I dont know what caused this issue. One day everything works, then the next day it doesnt. I didnt make any changes to my pc or fsx. Its really frustrating and puzzling.

That's odd, since the word 'correctly' doesn't appear anywhere in the ACARS3 source code. Got a screen shot?

It's an internal FSUIPC error code, let me dig up the original value and see what FSUIPC is reporting.

This is a standard message if FSUIPC isn't running, or the permissions aren't right. Just to be sure, FSUIPC appears in your FSX Add-ons menu? If so, I'm a little stumped.
