I recently upgraded my system to an i7 3770k coming from an i7 920 and the difference so far is amazing. For video card I have an GTX285 but since this card is 2009. So my question is would I get lets say 10-20 FPS Extra if I get a newer GTX660 or 670?

Intel i7 3770k running on stock cooler
Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi
8GB DDR3 Ram 1600mhz
GTX 285 1GB
Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi
VelociRaptor 150GB

Also Planing on getting an Samsung 840 SSD soon.

I don't want to hijack this thread. but I was going to start one to for GPU recommendations to so why not post mine here to.

My current specs
windows 7 64bit SP1
intel I5-2320 3.0GHZ (not overclocked)
8gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD7450

I need a Nvida card obviously. im looking for one that will let me run FSX with more clouds and better texture resolution. as far as AI and scenery im set pretty good but bringing the sliders to the right abit would be nice.

keep in mind im a DVA pilot who is also a gammer, I don't have meany games on my PC at this time. but I plan to add more. Planetside 2 is a must, and I have Battlefeild 4 pre ordered now. also Arma 3, dayZ, and State of decay. if I try to run any of thoues on my current set up my PC would explode. State of decay may run okay thoue. I also plan on getting GTA5 when they release it on PC (and they will maby a year after console release).

So I need a card that can run FSX and various other games at reasonable levals.

preferably under $500. I got my eye on a mosin negant at a local gun store. if its still there by christmas im so getting it. so the lower the price the better, but I still don't want junk.

Go for the 700 series. That's what I'm going to do. A GTX770 is supposed to be around the same power as the 680 but for half the price.

Timothy - Check out the 680s and 770s. Those will give you a lot of performance.
