If you go to a larger, higher resolution monitor, make sure you have the GPU to drive it.
There's a big difference in number of pixels at 1280x1024 (1,310,720), 1920x1200 (2,304,000), or one of the newer IPS monitors at 2560x1440 (3,686,400) or 2560x1600 (4,096,000 pixels).
