G'day All,
I have started to use or would like to use the FSX. I have installed various DVA add on aircraft successfully. However, when I tried to use subject aircrafts, they were working ok, but in the VC mode all I could see was the runway. Actually no instrument panel at all. This was for all DVA aircraft. Yes, I did select installation for the FSX.
I hope someone can help me.

From what I understand, there is no virtual cockpit to be had in these. I just use cockpit view and pull up the main display using SHIFT+1.

DVA fleet aircraft generally has only 2D cockpits, no Virtual Cockpits (VCs).

Thank you gentlemen, but I think I will have to think about dedicated FSX add-ons, as these a/cs are not entirely satisfactory. OK for FS9, but not for FSX.

Thiago,
I don't think your response is correct. When I done my checkrides on the B738, B744 and the MD11, I used the PMDG in all cases.
Best regards,
Miklos

Miklos,
You may be right, but everytime I looked into my checkrides, they say "you must use DVA fleet or you may get reject right away." (or something like that). But you may be lucky and they don`t worry about much!

Some programs allow Payware A/C for Check Rides but most require the fleet installer A/C.

I know that OLP allows payware, I just scheduled my check ride today. Like Don said, it depends on the program.

Well, I guess I have been lucky as I have used PMDG a/c for all my past CRs. Actually, when I done my CR on the 744, I made a comment in the forum, whether I can use either default 744 or change over to DVA as I had considerable difficulties passing my CR. One member wrote back to my question and asked, why on earth do I want to use the DVA 744, when I have a perfect PMDG.

Some programs do not allow the payware A/C to be used for the CR because the payware A/C does not supply all the required data to ACARS for us to analyze closely...
